The All Night Grad Night
Celebration is a wonderful event held annually after the official graduation
ceremonies are finished.
The Forest Park
celebration is held at the local Chinn Recreation Center. The drug free,
alcohol free party celebration begins at 11 pm and goes until 4 am the next
morning. The program is a nationally sponsored event with support from the
MADD organization, law enforcement agencies and insurance companies. Since
the Northern Virginia area held the first celebration in 1987, this area
has not had an incident on graduation night involving any graduating seniors
which includes over 45 area high schools.
The program is basically a “homemade” gift from the underclassman families
to the senior class families. It is totally run by Forest Park parent volunteers
and paid for by funds received through donations and fundraisers. It allows
the senior families to enjoy this special graduation time with their grad,
friends and family, and then they can safely send their new graduate off
to Grad Night to enjoy an awesome all night party in a safe environment
filled to the max with hours of fun, entertainment, food and prizes. When
your student becomes a graduating senior, they too will reap the benefits
from this time-honored tradition.
