ABOUT

A fun, safe and secure alternative celebration for our graduating seniors.

- What is "Grad Night"?
"Grad Night" is an all-night, drug and alcohol-free celebration (from 11 pm until 4 am) and it is held at the Chinn Aquatic Center, on the night of their graduation. It is a Nationally recognized program supported by the MADD organization, law enforcement agencies and insurance companies. Since the Northern Virginia area held the first Grad Night in 1987, this area has not had an incident on graduation night involving any graduating Senior. The graduates will enjoy casino games, indoor activities, music, dancing, swimming, food/refreshments and GREAT prizes! It promises to be an unforgettable night full of old memories shared and new memories made ... for one last night with friends!

- Who sponsors Grad Night?
Grad Night is accomplished through the time, talent, energy and support of over 400 volunteers. It is a gift to the Senior Class from the families of the underclassmen and the community. Fundraisers and ticket sales support the project financially, as well as donations from our community, businesses and colleges.

- How can I help?
We would love to have every Forest Park parent volunteer in making this an unforgettable night for the Seniors. No skill is required. Remember, one day your child will be a Senior ... this is a time-honored tradition for Forest Park and we need your help for it to continue. A party of this magnitude doesn't just happen ... it takes nine months to plan and it's pulled together by parent volunteers, each of whom can contribute in some small way to make Grad Night a night to remember. There is a huge need for parents to help in all aspects of planning. There are opportunities to volunteer in fundraising, decorations, shopping for the Bruin Boutique, soliciting donations, and most importantly, we want to ensure that everyone has an awesome time the night of the event! If you have any additional questions or you are interested in volunteering, please contact our Volunteer Chair, Peggy Snodgrass at SnodgrassFamily@comcast.net

- How do I become part of the Grad Night Committee?
There are numerous committees organizing different aspects of the event ... activities, entertainment, decorations, food, etc. We meet on the 2nd Wednesday of every month in the FPHS library at 7 pm. If you're interested in helping out, or just want to find out more information, contact us: FPGradNight@gmail.com - Come and join the fun!!!
